Marian`s Sub Shop in Ruskin

Great subs. Unfortunately, within 15 min of leaving the store, I had 9 false charges on my credit card for ~$1500 in shoes. I called the store to speak with the Manager about 2 1/2 hrs after purchasing sandwiches, and she was gone for the day. DON'T USE YOUR CC AT THIS BUSINESS!!!

Hole in the wall place. Food is priced just right. Its always good. Been there forever. Thanks Ladies.

Sub only made one way you choose the toppings but they're great if you like ham and salami

Went here for lunch and had an amazingly delicious sandwich made by two very nice ladies. Later as we are eating my daughter and I were talking about the sandwich and at the time I ordered I didn't realize that this is the ONLY sandwich they make! They have been doing it for 53 years!!!! That goes to show you that when you make delicious food the people will come. As far as the sandwich...wow, crunchy bread like I love, tons of meat and veggies. Absolutely delicious and ranks up there with a good cuban. Go try one, you will not be disappointed. Nom Nom.

Best one of a kind sandwich made!! The ladies were very kind and prompt to take my order.

Used to come here as a kid and I have some very fond memories as it always felt like a treat. Now every time I drive by I have to fight the temptation. As others may have pointed out there’s only one sandwich on the menu but I honestly love places like that. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

The only sub they make is a Marion sub and it is good

Refused to make a veggies only sandwich even though they had all the makings for my mother-in-law who doesn't eat meat. Sort of like the Nazi Deli. Almost yelled refusing to do it. Folks who were able to order a sandwich did enjoy theirs, hence 3 stars instead of 1.

They make one kind of sub. To me it's a Italian sub with no dressing. But its delicious! I recommend trying this sub.

They make only Italian cold cut subs and they do a great job. Sandwiches are freshly made.

Very interesting. Very good. They only make one sandwich here; a genuine submarine oven baked. We shared a delicious large with plenty of meat and cheese and couldn't finish a half. Don't ask for mayo or mustard it's not on the menu. Pepsi no Coke. A real treat!

Interesting little spot. After driving by this place a thousand times I finally made the stop to try it out. I was unaware that it’s a one sandwich shop before entering. The girl behind the counter rudely gave me the breakdown on the sandwich as if she was tired of having to explain it to the “out of towners” that stop in. So it’s an Italian sandwich with the usual ingredients then some sort of pepper mix, oil and vinegar, and bologna. It only comes one way and they have no mayo or mustard available. The sandwich was actually pretty tasty, I’m giving it three stars due to the rude service, bologna, and lack of options. It is reasonably priced at $9 for a huge sandwich. Try it, just bring your own mayo and mustard packets and don’t ask any questions.

Best Italian sub I've tasted, funny thing is I don't even like Italian subs so trust me, if you like an Italian, you can't go wrong here.

Well the lady was rude. I asked for the restroom key and she told me to use the tree behind the building. ( There was no ). I was given a key by the taco place next door, which stunk of mold and sewage ( typical of Florida ). Someone had pee'd in the trash can. I went back to order my sub. I asked what was good here, and the same rude lady told me, " the only sub we serve. An Italian sub. Really only one kind of sub? And rude. Needless to say I walked out.

Best philly cheesesteak in the area, gotta ask for it specifically though but you won't be disappointed!

They only have one sub but it's huge and delicious. I would say that one sub is enough for two even three people.

The way there making the sandwich has changed, there not cutting up the veg's any more mixing them. I will try it one more time, if it is the same I want go back and me and My Family has been going there for the last thirty years at least.

Employees are always pleasant and hard workers. Appears to be clean. The one way sub is consistent. I request xtra toasty. You can now get extra meat. We find it yummy and hot peppers on the side are a plus

I've been going to Marian's for over 30 years. They make ( 1 ) sub and one only and it is the greatest ! I drive 45 miles now and it's worth the drive as you will not find another sub quite like this one. Come HUNGRY as it is huge and well dressed and you will enjoy. It's a small shop, but worth the wait at busy times. Marian was a very nice lady and it's great her tradition of a wonderful sub sandwich continues to this day without fancy changes that most places try to do. If it ain't broken don't mess with it ! Enjoy

Been eating here for over 30 years. One of the best subs I have ever had. I knew Marian personally and she was a real person. I still miss her. It is a small town sub shop with a huge reputation. Look forward to eating here for many more years to come.

This is quite possibility the best sandwich place from Brandon to Bradenton. The place is a classic tiny box on the corner, where barely 6-7 people can fit inside. If its your first time, be ready. The sandwich comes one way (You can take things off), and one sandwich only. If you are in a rush, call ahead and pick it up since these sandwiches are made from scratch every time.Marian has been doing this for longer than I've been alive and I visit anytime my path crosses with this place. I order the sandwich exactly how it is intended with 0 changes. If you want a custom sandwich, go somewhere else. If you enjoy a good Italian sandwich - you've come to the right place.

Interesting as they only sell one kind of sub as it has been for 52 yearsI will say it wasn't bad tho I hadn't had this favor in 15 or 20 yearsI only was some of those people we all stand in line with that can't make up their minds would have been interesting

Owner/operator, I would like to bring to someone’s attention, last night at 7:30-7:35 at red light across from shop calling in sub order & no answer. As I drive in the 2 employees were leaving at 7:40. Your sign & business card says Fri/sat open till 8. Have your hours changed?

This place has been open forever and there's a reason for it. Call and order ahead or you might have a wait.. that's how great this shop is
